Frequently Asked Questions

How Doest it work?

Your perfectly curated picnic will include the following: the event rentals and creative services from start to finish, beginning with the delivery + set up to the breakdown + clean up.

Our picnics include our floor-style snack tables for guests to sit at (1 table per 4 guests), rugs/tapestries/throws for under the tables, plush cushions/pillows for each guest for floor style seating, decorations for the table, styling of all tables with boho table decor + styling of the surrounding area. individual one-time use plated set up for each guest (cutlery, cup, plate, napkin), an ice bucket with ice for beverages and your choice of flat or sparkling water + coffee + tea or lemonade.

Can you set up a picnic anywhere?

You can choose from our list of preferred locations all around the Wilmington and neighboring areas (Leland, Wrightsville Beach (permit fee), Carolina Beach, Surf City, Hampstead, Castle Hayne) provided at the time of booking; Picnics can also be set up at home or at a location of your choice (fees or restrictions apply for locations further than 45 min from Wilmington)

Nearby parks we can set up in- Ogden Park, Long Leaf Park, Smith’s Creek Park, Wrightsville Beach Park, and Greenfield Lake.

How far in advance should I schedule my picnic?

You can schedule as far in advance as you please, however, the least amount of time we allow an appointment to be made is 4 days before the requested booking date. We request a 72 hour-advance notice of cancelation.

What happens in case of bad weather?

Yes, we know North Carolina weather can be unpredictable! Our pro tip is to have an indoor/covered alternative, just in case the weather doesn't cooperate. Once you've booked your picnic and we've received the deposit, we will send you a document that states if you wish to reschedule due to weather, we require a 24 hour notice (for weather issues only). We then will work with you to reschedule your event within a 14 day window. Please note, all deposits are non-refundable.

What is the cancellation policy?

All $50 deposits are non-refundable. However, we understand life can be filled with surprises, so if you need to reschedule your date, we require 72 hour notice to be sent to us via email. After that window, we charge a $100 rescheduling fee.

Once I am booked what can I expect?

Yay, you’re on the calendar! Once we’ve received your $50 deposit, we will discuss your interests for the picnic and connect you with our add-on vendors as needed to set up any special requests. You can then expect to hear from us a few days prior to your event to confirm final details: beverage selection, location confirmation, start time, weather, etc. Please note, that if you select a public location (beach/park/etc) we will confirm the exact location we have set-up at 20 minutes prior to your event. We will always decide on a general area with you, but due to the nature of public locations, the exact location will be provided to you as soon as we arrive to set up!

What if I don't live in Wilmington?

Depending on the location and date, we can usually make it work for our $50 travel fee. If you live on Oak Island, for example,  we can travel to your beach and host a picnic there for an additional $50 travel fee.

What if I don't put down a deposit?

As we continue to grow and become more popular, (YAY!) we are requiring the $50 deposit be made within 72 hours of your booking, this will finalize reserving your date and time.  If we don't receive the deposit within 72 hours, the date will open back up for someone else to reserve the spot. We know life happens and welcome all inquiries about our picnics.

I ask for your courtesy so someone else has an opportunity to book if you change your mind. Thank you!

Do I need a permit for a picnic at Wrightsville beach?

Yes, you will have to get a special event permit for Wrightville Beach for any size event/picnic. It's $130 through Wrightsville Beach.  If you don't get the permit you can get a $250 fine.  I can send you the link if you can't find it. Unfortunately, I cannot get you the permit, you will have to get the permit yourself for the picnic. If you don't want to pay a fee, we can go to many neighboring parks, beaches, backyards, or gardens.
